Tin Cup Inspiration

Dear Mr. Costner,
While the rest of the internet community, nay the world...While the rest of the world eagerly looks on as we embarrass ourselves vying for your attention, we take solace in knowing that this is not an easy task and may take more than one shot to get to work. Hell, it may take 12 or 15.
Perhaps, everyone should take a little inspiration from your character, Roy "Tin Cup" McAvoy, who taught us that it's not how many times you try, but how you do it and that you actually get it done. We're not going to lay up for par 4 here. We don't even care if we triple bogey, we just want to get the ball in the damn tin cup and give everyone a wild ride along the way.
As McAvoy himself said, "Greatness courts failure." As Internet bloggers, we are intimately familiar with the courting of failure (hell, sometimes we marry it)- but that will not dissuade us from reaching for greatness.
So disposing of the metaphors, all that we ask is that you take a photo of yourself looking at our blog and send it to our blog. If it's going to take a multitude of posts...then so be it. We've certainly got the time.
Feel free to contact us whether it be personally or through your people at: djayek@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
The Folks At If I Blog It They Will Come
P.S. We know you'd kick Don Johnson's ass any day in 18 holes.
Special thanks to A. Morton
