Dear Mr. Costner,
Hopefully, by now you've taken notice of our little internet operation. Frankly we're a little curious as to what you might think of us. We're aware that trying to get you to come to our blog and send a photo of yourself doing so to djayek@yahoo.com might be perceived as being one huge fandango along the lines hitching our proverbial car to a train or skydiving with a laundry bag instead of a parachute, except on the internet.
No matter how foolish of an act this may appear to you. We here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" fully intend to go down in the annals of Grooverdom in our quest for "Dom" which in this case is a photo of you looking at our blog.
We're hoping that when all is said and done we can all sit down with a bottle of Shiner Bock and celebrate. Of course we'll need the friendly townspeople to provide the band and catering...not to mention napkins, but it will be a celebration nonetheless.
So, Mr. Costner it is with great respect and reverence that we once again ask you to guide us to our "Dom" and send it to us at djayek@yahoo.com. It will be "one small step for a Groover, one giant leap for weeniekind" (I guess we're the weenies in that metaphor).
To quote your character, Gardner Barnes in Fandango "Here’s to us, by god. To us and that and privileges of youth. Here’s to us and what we were and what we’ll be."
Sincerely,
The Folks At If I Blog It They Will Come
