Special Delivery

Hey Mr. C,
We here at if I Blog It They Will Come are celebrating our 2 Week anniversary today and to paraphrase the words of Thomas J. Murphy, your character in 3000 Miles to Graceland "Pork Chop Pork Chop, Greasy Greasy, We thought getting you to come to our site and take a picture was going to be easy easy." Unfortunately, we have little reason to break out the party hats and the noisemakers in this our 2nd week, as our web traffic is plummeting and we currently have nothing to show for our efforts but our vacant inbox. It seems that we got a bit ahead of ourselves. We thought we could do this alone. We are but a small operation consisting of anywhere from one to three members at any time. This is quite the large task for such a small group. We here at if I Blog it They Will Come have been brainstorming as to how we could salvage our effort to get you to take a picture of yourself on our blog and send it to us at djayek@yahoo.com.

Then it occurred to us while we were thinking about your 1997 epic, The Postman, a film in which the simple act of delivering the mail helped to rebuild a civilization. maybe we could achieve similiar success by opening up our mailbag to other Costner fans and delivering their messages to you, so that you might know how much they want you to come to our site and take a photo of yourself. So, beginning next week, we will open up our hearts and our mailboxes to Kevin Costner fans all over the world.

So today's message is a call to the international throng of Costner fans. Let Kevin know just how much you care and how much it would mean to you if Kevin were to send a photo of himself looking at our blog to us. We probably won't be able to publish all of the letters but we're going to pick the best. So make them good folks. Make them sing.

Mr. Costner if you're reading this, we hope that you're leaning a little further towards honoring our request. We're certainly leaning towards the ticket booth once Mr. Brooks hits theatres. We look forward to hearing from you soon at djayek@yahoo.com
