Don't Worry, Be Happy
Here's a little blog we wrote, you might want to read it note for note. It's been nearly eight months since we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" embarked on our second official mission. While we have yet to achieve our aim of getting you to send a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com, we are nonetheless more optimistic than ever.
People are constantly emailing us asking how we manage to stay so positive in the face of such a difficult task as the one we have charged ourself with. Our answer, it's simple...we think about the sage words of 1980's a capella sensation Bobby McFerrin who said, "Don't Worry, Be Happy."
Of course it always helps to maintain our level of unworried happiness by digesting a constant stream of Robin Williams movies and comedy CD's, but our greatest pick me up is the actual video for the Mr. McFerrin's ode to positivity, featuring none other than our favorite actor/comedian just plain having a good time. In fact, every time we write a post asking you to make our blog dreams a reality we feel like we're in our personal "Don't Worry Be Happy" video because we continue to have a great time doing what we're doing. Our only hope is that you're doing the same reading our site and will soon feel compelled to join in our fun just as you did in the video with Mr. McFerrin and The late great Christopher Reeves. In any case, we thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon.
