Kevin ©ostner

Dear Mr. Costner,

We have yet to receive a photo from you, and it occurred to us that one of the reasons for this could be that you are concerned about copyright issues. We live in litigious times, it is true, and certainly world-famous film stars must protect themselves against frivolous lawsuits of any kind. If you were to send us a photo of yourself for use on our blog, we're sure some legal eagle could make the case that "If I Blog It They Will Come" would be entitled to assume the copyright ownership of said photo. But at "If I Blog It They Will Come," Mr. Costner, we don't care much for lawyers (with the lone exception of Jim Garrison, who so bravely fought to expose a governmental conspiracy in the JFK assassination while facing many detractors-- such as Bull Durham's Crash Davis who believed that Oswald acted alone). We want you to know that as a token of our goodwill, and our inability to afford more than a court appointed attorney , we hereby renounce any claim to the copyright of the photo we hope you will send to us. That copyright belongs to you sir, and you alone. Though we hope you will grant us exclusive use of the photo for this site (for free or at nominal cost). We want you to know that in our hearts and in our minds, you always have likeness approval, Mr. C.

We're not in this for cash. Heck, in the spirit of giving we'll even send you a free "If I Blog It They Will Come" t-shirt if you choose to go along with our request. There are so many different styles and sizes to pick from. Go to the bottom of the page and click on the link to our store with the "If I Blog It, They Will Come" shirts and then email us at djayek@yahoo.com and we'll set you up with one, but only if you send us a picture looking at our site.

Thanks for your time Mr. Costner and we hope to be hearing from you shortly.

Sincerely,
The Folks at If I Blog It They Will Come

special thanks to A. Morton
