Photo Shop

Dear Mr. Costner,
As we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" continue on our quest to get you to send a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com, we thought that maybe it would help speed the process along if we gave you some guidelines on what type of photographic evidence we're looking for.

We would accept a simple print from a disposable camera or a fancy film camera like a Leica or Olympus but we hardly think that's worth the effort since the modern digital camera has rendered the inconvenience of dropping of film at the Fotomat or One Hour Photo quite obsolete. We always thought it was a pain in the ass to have to run your errands and then go back to the place you just dropped off your film or hang around until your pictures were finished developing in a Sam Goody next door looking through the New Releases but never buying anything.

We here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" much prefer the current digital age of photography with it's crisp, clean, images, and various cool effects. Plus, you save a bundle not buying film. Anyway, Mr C., just in case you're spending all of this extra time mulling over the choice of which camera you're going to use when you finally have a picture taken of yourself looking at our blog, we thought we'd help you out by recommending some of our favorites.

If you're looking for top of the line digital performance with professional quality and money is no object, look no further than Nikon's D2Xs. The price may be as steep as $4699 but with image resolution as high as 12.84 megapixels you certainly get what you pay for. On the downside it's a little bit bulky.
If you want a simple point and shoot with less features but beautiful high res images nonetheless, we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" recommend the Canon Powershot SD900. It's stylish, easy to handle, and compact so it fits in your pocket or can sit right next to your computer if someone should want to take a photo of you looking at our blog. It also retails in the reasonable price range from $355 to $499

Of course, we don't want to go off on a tangent here recommending cameras. It might seem like we were pandering to Nikon or Canon to make one of their cameras the "Official Camera of If I Blog It They Will Come" so they might send us one for free. We hope that maybe they'll send you, Kevin Costner, one for free so maybe you'd be so thankful for your new free camera that you might feel inclined to thank us by sending us a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com. Heck, if we had sold any merchandise or made any money off of this venture we might be inclined to buy you one ourselves. But alas, all we can do is sit here and wait. In any case, we recommend the cameras above as being excellent choices if you should feel the need to take a photo of yourself looking at our blog. Also, if you have your own digital camera, we're sure that's fine too.

Alright, Mr. Costner, we hope you have an excellent weekend. Perhaps you'll go camera shopping. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
The Folks at If I Blog It They Will Come
