Trick or Treat

Dear Mr. Williams,
We here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" would like to wish you the happiest of Halloweens. While we know your kids are probably a little too old for you to walk them around from door to door making sure they safely acquire candy from strange neighbors, hopefully you have the day off on the set of Old Dogs to have some trick or treating fun of your own. We have a mental picture of you and the Travoltster (John Travolta) dressed up as Mork from Ork and Vinnie Barbarino knocking on front doors, surprising unsuspecting parents with the fact that he's dressed up as Mork and you're dressed as Vinnie Barbarino (because it wouldn't be surprising enough that two of Hollywood's biggest stars are at their door asking for Smarties).
We here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" have a positively ghoulish night planned out. The lights will be turned down low and there'll certainly be popcorn in hand for our first ever Robin Williams Spooky Halloween Film Marathon. Now we're quite aware that Robin Williams is certainly no slasher flick veteran....but we're no fans of that predictable, blood-splattering genre either. We prefer psychological thrills to excessive gore, which is why our films of choice for this All Hallow's Eve are Insomnia and One Hour Photo, both released in 2002. The effective creepiness with which you portrayed both Walter Finch and Sy Parrish, respectively, was enough to make us not want to run into you in a darkened alley. After seeing those films we began to have nightmares and subsequently vowed not to see a Robin Williams movie for a year for fear that the nightmares may never stop Luckily for us your next film came out in 2004 and by then the bad dreams had subsided.
The one downside to all of the time we'll be spending watching your films on Halloween is that we won't have any time to trick or treat for ourselves, which is a shame since we had a killer Popeye costume and a sweet Sean Maguire getup. In any case, consider this post us ringing on your doorbell. We'd like you to picture us dressed in our awesome costumes, standing outside your metaphorical front door with orange plastic bags with pumpkin faces on them. However, we're not asking for full-sized Snickers or Candy corn (that stuff is disgusting)...we're merely asking for you to send a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com. So what do you say? Trick or treat.
Sincerely,
The Not So Scary Folks at "If I Blog It They Will Come"
p.s. We didn't toilet paper your front yard last night
