The Re-Awakening of If I Blog It They Will Come

Dear Mr. Robin Williams,

Over the past several days since launching our secondary goal, we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" much like Leonard Lowe and the other encephalitis survivors at Bainbridge Hospital in the 1990 film Awakenings, have lapsed into a catatonic state, becoming a shell of our former selves. With the infrequency we have been posting our readers have questioned if we are in fact alive inside. We would like to assure you and our readers that we are indeed alive. However, we are in desperate need of a helping hand. If only we had someone like your character Dr. Malcolm Sayer who through curiosity and humanity could take notice that we are a living, breathing, entity (metaphorically speaking of course) and awaken us from our slumber.

Now we're not asking for heaping quantities of L-Dopa mixed with milk to fuel our resurgence. We know you're not a real doctor though you sometimes play one on the silver screen. What we are asking, Mr. Williams, is that you channel that Oscar®-worthy performance (yes, we know De Niro got nominated but you most certainly deserved it) and play Dr. Malcolm Sayer once more to our Leonard Lowe, by exhibiting that curious nature and tossing us a metaphorical ball in the form of a photo of yourself looking at our blog, so that we may borrow the will of that ball to give some sign that we are alive. We in turn promise that we will not attempt to go for unnecessary walks, start a hospital coup d'etat on account of those walks (though we're not sure that's entirely relevant), or ditch out on your field trip for Penelope Ann Miller (okay we can't promise that, she's a looker). In return, you will receive the utter joy of living vicariously through our renewed youthfulness but without the burden of personal attachment when we subsequently deteriorate.

Sounds pretty harmless, right? We think so too. Now it's up to you Mr. Williams. All that we ask is that you throw that metaphorical ball into our inbox at djayek@yahoo.com so that the "If I Blog It They Will Come" spirit may be reanimated.
