Dear Mr. Costner,

A great man with a soulpatch once said, "There is a lot of noise out there...The signals are all wrong. You have to listen to the ticking of your own heart." Do you know who that great man with a soulpatch was? It was you, two days ago on the campus of your alma mater Cal St. -Fullerton.

You see Mr. Costner, We here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" know a lot about the "noise out there". Everyday we have to deal with naysayers who say, "Nay, ye shall never be able to get Kevin Costner to visit your blog and send a photo of himself looking at said blog to djayek@yahoo.com." Well, they don't exactly use ye olde King's English, but we're paraphrasing. Sometimes we feel as though maybe the naysayers are right, that our dreams no matter how big or how silly are not worthwhile. However, after reading your encouraging quote, we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" are once again filled with the resolve to "follow the ticking of our own heart" and keep this blog going for however long it may take to get you to comply.

Mr. Costner, we thank you for your continued inspiration in the face of adversity. We owe you so much, for without you our cause is nowhere, even though it actually is nowhere because we haven't heard from you yet. In any case, we'll continue to deflect all of the "wrong signals" for as long as we have to in order to get you to visit our blog and send a photo of yourself looking at said blog to djayek@yahoo.com.
