Who's Afraid of Robin Williams?

Dear Mr. Robin Williams,

We here at If I Blog It They Will Come recently caught wind of the fact that you were up in Vancouver reprising your role as the venerable wax statue of President Theodore Roosevelt in the sequel to Night at The Museum with a winning ensemble cast that includes Ben Stiller, Ricky Gervais, Owen Wilson, Bill Hader and the wonderful Christopher Guest. While we find it completely delightful that A master of improvisation such as Mr. Guest would agree to join a cast that included THE absolute master of improv, Mr. Robin Williams, we here at If I Blog It They Will Blog It They Will Come, think we know why he had no hesitation in doing so.

You see Mr. Williams, in a scripted movie the nearly always funny Mr. Guest would not have to go toe to toe and be consistently one upped by an improv master such as yourself and therefore did not feel as though he were in danger of potential embarrassment at the hands of such an in the moment actor as yourself. Were there to be an all out off-the-cuff contest, we think things could end up getting ugly and Guest might end up crawling ingloriously back to Hollywood or Blaine, Missouri with his improv tail between his legs and with you hoisting the Heavyweight Improv title belt proudly above your head.

However, since we foresee the filming of Night at The Museum 2: Battle of The Smithsonian as a relatively civil affair between talented funnymen, you might actually miss your chance to pose proudly, hoisting the heavyweight improv title belt. In order to remedy that situation, we here at If I Blog It They Will Come recommend instead posing happily in a photo of yourself looking at our blog so that you may send it to our inbox at djayek@yahoo.com. That way we both fulfill our need to feel triumphant...or at least we do, but seeing as you're such a talented improvisational artist maybe you can pretend that the computer is your improv title belt.
