A Cause for Laughter

Dear Mr. Robin Williams,

We here at If I Blog It They Will Come are continually amazed by how giving you are with your time and talent. We recently happened upon a notice of a show you're putting on tomorrow in San Francisco to benefit kids with Autism and we think that's just swell. We wish we could make it to the city by the bay because we know the $200 a head ticket would certainly be worth the price of admission for the stellar performance you're sure to give, as well as the knowledge that the money is going to a more than worthy cause. It's important that people know that Autism isn't just something that allows Dustin Hoffman to dance with Valeria Golino in Rain Man, and that it's a serious issue worth putting our time and attention towards. It sort of makes us question whether putting all of our time and attention towards achieving the goal of getting you to visit our blog and send a photo of yourself looking at said blog to djayek@yahoo.com is silly and meaningless when there is so much going on in the world.

However, after much consideration we've decided it's not silly and meaningless...because our goal is to bring laughter...and as long as there is laughter, the world in an infinitely better place. We may not have a lot of money to give to causes and we may not have a lot of readers...but we do have desire...and while that desire may be sadly misdirected, it's that desire to make people smile that drives us to succeed with our goal and endear ourselves to our public...which will hopefully one day include the friendly and generous Robin Williams. In any case, we thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
The sadly misguided but resolute folks at If I Blog It They Will Come
