Dear Mr. Costner,

We trust that you had a wonderful July 4th holiday filled with fireworks on the grill and in the sky. We here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" spent the entire holiday feeling bummed. We had made a personal promise to ourselves that we would make it out to the Swing Vote extras casting call in Belen,New Mexico on July 3rd. Unfortunately, we couldn't get our travel arrangements in order in time and missed out on our chance for our cinematic big break. By July 4th we had hoped to be cast as supporters of a 3rd party candidate or angry mob member #1, and spending our great nation's independence day whooping it up with our fellow aspiring actors while basking in the New Mexican warmth. Instead we found ourselves in rainy Brooklyn staring at the waste of gunpowder and sky over the East River and wondering what could've been.

It wasn't all negative though. Lucky for us here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" we had such wonderful patriotic films such as JFK, 13 Days, American Flyers, and The Postman to warm our hearts to the true spirit of America. Even if we can't be apart of another freedom flaunting effort such as Swing Vote, rest assured Mr. Costner, anything you do will be fireworks to us. That is why we remain ever patient in our quest to get you to send a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com. It wouldn't be America if putting hard work and faith into achieving your dream wasn't rewarded with success.
