Oh Captain...Not Again

Dear Mr. Robin Williams,

We here at If I Blog It They Will Come would like to apologize for lack of effort this month in our quest to get you to visit our blog and send a photo of yourself doing so to djayek@yahoo.com. You see, we've come down with what the high school and college aged kids refer to as Senior-itis. The apathy we've displayed towards updating this site lately is probably akin to that which would've been felt by the students at The Welton Academy in Dead Poets' Society once they realized their favorite teacher, John Keating, portrayed by you Mr. Robin Williams, was not coming back next semester. However, instead of a realization that our favorite actor was never going to hear our clarion call for blog participation as the excuse for our recently apathetic nature, we prefer to think it was the warm weather and pretty flowers that caused us to momentarily lose focus of our mission.

In any case, Mr. Williams. we here at If I Blog It They Will Come would like to make it clear that as long as you continue to be absent from our presence in the classroom that is the blogosphere, we will indeed stand on our desk and repeatedly yell "Oh Captain, My Captain" in the form of more posts until you finally see fit to inspire us with your presence and your humor. We know we sort of did the "Oh Captain, My Captain" bit before but that was relating to something totally different and we called you "assistant captain". We just wanted to clear up that this one is a little different and we hope our slight repetition doesn't dissuade you from joining in the fun. We'll have something fresher next time. Thanks for your time and consideration.
