A Personal Non-Invitation to Robin Williams

Dear Mr. Williams,

The August Rush opening day is upon us and while we know that you've already seen the film as you were present at the premiere several days ago, we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" are excited for our first peak at this soon to be classic. In fact, we've already reserved our tickets for the 11:40am showing on Wednesday at the UA Court Street Stadium 12 theater on 108 Court Street in Brooklyn, New York.

While we're already positive that this will be an extremely moving cinematic experience, there's only one thing that could make it more special (drumroll please).....If you were there with us! However, after much discussion and deliberation we feel that this violates Section 8, Statute #3 of the "If I Blog It They Will Come" bylaws which states:

"We shall in no instance attempt to approach the Robin Williams or his lawyers and/or publicist to arrange personal encounters. All such encounters must be resultant from the word of mouth generated via the content of this website and or a personal invitation from the subject himself."

This is a very important statute in that it prevents us from looking like a bunch of psychopaths.

While we would've certainly loved to have seen the film with you, you're probably headed back to the West Coast for Turkey Day with your family anyway, but if by some chance you happen to be in town and just happen to end up crossing the East River by car, train, or helicopter (don't swim in it) and take in a late morning early afternoon screening of your latest sure-fire hit at the same theater we're at, be sure to stop by and say hello. While we're not technically inviting you to join us it would certainly be a thrill. If you choose not to do such a thing then perhaps you might still be able to find the time to do something we're more overtly requesting, such as send us a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com (maybe with a Turkey in the background).
