Fatherly Advice

Dear Mr. Costner,

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a belated Happy Father's day. We hope you spent the day being showered with heaps of praise by your loving family. We here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" don't know the first thing about being a father but we do look at this here blog as our baby and have accordingly been nurturing it with loving care for almost 5 months now. We think we're starting to get a real appreciation for the work that fathers do without all of the mess involved with changing diapers. To us, each post is a new, fresh diaper and powder job on a baby's bottom...a chance to start anew in our quest to get you to send a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com. While we're certainly enjoying playing the role of proud papa to our nearly fledgling internet baby, we have to admit that there's still a lot we need to learn about taking care of our little one. That's why we're reaching out to you with today's post in the hopes of soliciting some fatherly advice on how we might improve this here website. Who better to teach us how to be a succcesful father to our blog than a successful father? Sure we could read one of those Dr. Spock books but I don't think he wrote those with the Internet in mind and a book can't teach us what someone with valuable real life fatherly experiences can.

All we're looking for, Mr. Costner is some sage advice that can be metaphorically applied to this here website... oh and a photo of you looking at our blog, but you knew that already. Thanks for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
The Proud Yet Inexperienced Blog Parents at "If I Blog They Will Come"
