Knights Who Say Please

Dear Mr. Robin Williams,
We here at If I Blog It They Will Come are not quite sure if you've happened upon our humble site just yet, even though we most certainly alluded to the fact that you had. If you have, you almost certainly regard us much in the same way Jack Lucas first did when he met your character Parry and his band of homeless misfits belting out the song "How About You?" in your fine film, The Fisher King (for which you should have won best actor). While you may think we're crazy, there's a certain purity and truth in our madness. You see like Parry, we too are in search of a Holy Grail, and like the story of "the Fisher King" we too had a vision, only our symbol of God's divine grace was not that of a cup in a billionaire's mansion, rather it was a photo of you looking at our blog that we were told once bestowed upon us may help us to heal the hearts of men.
However, after over a year of posting we, much like Parry toward the end of the film, have been beaten down and have more or less succumbed to a catatonic state of existence. Sure we get our sheets and PJ's changed with every new post, but we'll never be able to reach our grail without a little help defeating our metaphorical Red Knight, which just so happens to be the fact that you've yet to send us a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com. Mr. Williams, we need your help. Scale the walls of that Upper East Side apartment, also known as the combination of your point and shoot camera and laptop. We need some water to help cool our throat so that we may one day wake up and notice a shiny new cup or photo of you looking at our blog not in our hands, but our inbox. On that day, the masses will stand up and we will lead them in song:
"I like New York in June, how about you? I like a Gershwin tune, how about you?..."
Hopefully, you'll sing along with us. Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
The Knights Who Say Please at If I Blog It They Will Come .
