Inside The Blogger's Studio: Robin Williams

Dear Mr. Robin WIlliams,

We here at If I Blog It They Will Come were absolutely delighted when this week, one of the most in demand episodes of Inside The Actor's Studio was released on DVD. We are, of course, referring to the episode in which you, our favorite actor/comedian graced James Lipton with your presence. Frankly, we got chills the moment Mr. Lipton introduced you as one of the Actor's studio's "most gifted members," a well-deserved distinction.

In keeping with that thought we here at If I Blog It They Will Come have long held you in such high esteem and have always maintained that you were not just one of the acting community's most gifted members, but the comedy world's own crown jewel, as well. Unfortunately, we haven't had the medium of a national cable television show to trumpet our feelings. This blog is all we've got. However, despite our meager forum, we do have a lot of similarities with that wonderful show on which you appeared. For one, we are dedicated to telling the world about your great talent and how it has affected us as human beings. Secondly, we both run our show out of New York.

There are only two plain differences we can see between us and the Bravo relevision show, the first being that we have yet to effectively harness the moving image to our advantage. We are creatures of the written word and not the spoken interview or video blog. The second and most glaring discrepancy between our venture and Mr. Lipton's is that in our own attempt at "legalized insanity" we've yet to entreat our venerable subject (you, Mr. Robin Williams) to participate in our shenanigans that might one day make us the Inside The Actor's Studio of the Blogosphere. Bear in mind, Mr. Williams, that the shenanigans we speak of do not involve you making an actual appearance in lieu of your busy schedule. We merely would like to continue to praise all of your good work and in return have you acknowledge our efforts in the form of a photo of you looking at our blog sent to djayek@yahoo.com.

You could also make an awesome video of yourself on an inspired political rant making sure to mention our blog at one point, but that would probably require some video setup and the sending of a pretty huge file...and frankly, we probably don't have the space for that. In any case, we thank you for your consideration on the matter and look forward to hearing from you sometime in the near future.

Sincerely,
The James Liptons of The Blogosphere at If I Blog It They Will Come
