Hollywood Blog of Fame

Dear Mr. Robin Williams,

As you may or may not have noticed, we here at If I Blog It They Will Come have been away for a little over a week. We decided to take a mini break from our mission in favor of a leisurely vacation, choosing to escape the unpredictable New York weather for the stubbornly sunny skies of Los Angeles, California. The climate was so comfortable out there, we can see why so many celebrities feel right at home...though we don't care much for the Freeway.

While we didn't happen upon many celebrities on our visit save for John C. Reilly and a Freddy Krueger impersonator, we did see a lot of stars...on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. One morning we took a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard and walked the entire stretch of the star-laden sidewalk from Gower to La Brea. Towards the end, we finally came to Grauman's Chinese Theater where we stumbled upon your shoe and hand prints immortalized in cement.

Out of curiosity, we stuck our feet over your prints and found that we had nearly identical size as you (somewhere between 9 1/2 and 10). Despite the thrill of finding that we here at If I Blog It They Will Come have the same size feet as our favorite actor/comedian...we came to the realization that we could never fill your shoes. Mr. Williams, we walked over the names of hundreds of entertainment icons during our stroll, but none of them save for maybe one (Mr. Costner) stirred up the kind of emotional fervor that makes one a worthy subject for our blog.

You see Mr. Williams, we here at If I Blog It They Will Come like to consider ourselves the "Hollywood Walk of Fame" of blogs...only more selective. We don't seek out those with limited contributions like John Tesh and Judge Judy. We like to associate ourselves with the best (Supporting Actor for 1997's Good Will Hunting, Take that Corliss!). That's basically why we've been continually haranguing you all of these months. We want you to be on our "blog of fame"...but instead of a star with your name on it, we need you to send a photo of yourself looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com. We can't bestow our honor without it.
In any case, we thank you for your time and consideration on the matter and look forward to giving you your own "star" on our blog of fame soon enough.
