What's Next?

Dear loyal readers,

As you may or may not recall, in our inaugural post we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" wrote the following:

'The primary aim of this blog is to get Kevin Costner to visit a blog about Kevin Costner and send a picture of himself looking at said blog. Once we've achieved this with Mr. Costner we shall move onto other celebrities. Perhaps, we'll go down the list of his Field of Dreams co-stars, perhaps we'll just seek out random celebrities."

We've had a good week or so now to bask in the glow of our success. We've been reading the comments on our blog and other blogs and are overwhelmed at the generally positive response we've received. Now that we've achieved our primary aim, we're left to ponder the question, What is the next step in our evolution as a blog? Is there a next step? After putting in so much time and effort towards the acquisition of the photograph of Mr. Costner, we are faced with quite the quandary. Can we even move onto another celebrity? Part of us feels that it might be disingenuous to move on to the next celebrity as if we were a parasite moving on to it's next host in our attempt to hang on for our dear Internet life. The other part of us thinks that we've gained so much momentum from this endeavor that it's our responsibility to continue on and bring joy and delight to the lives of people all across this great big world by chasing another far-fetched goal.

Needless to say, we here at "If I Blog It They Will Come" are quite vexed. We're gonna need a few more days to think this over. In the meantime, we'd like to extend this open invitation for any of the stars of the landmark 1989 film Field of Dreams to send in a photo of themselves looking at our blog to djayek@yahoo.com.

This means you Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones, Timothy Busfield, Amy Madigan, Gaby Hoffman, and Frank Whaley. If you've got a second we'd love you to honor us with your blog patronage. We know you're busy folks but if you could just give us a moment of your time. We'd be honored...but if not, no harm...no foul.

In any case, we'd like to thank everyone who has checked out our site over the past few days and we hope we can bring more smiles to your faces in the future.
